Styled Wedding Shoot ~ Asheville, NC
My motto for 2021 is “try anything”. So, I went out of my comfort zone and participated in a wedding styled shoot. This was my first time shooting a full wedding set-up. I previously took photos for an elopement and a wedding reception, but this was my first time shooting a “wedding”.
The shoot was hosted by The Shootout Society, and they created an amazing space for photographers to be creative. Blue is my favorite color, so I loved the color scheme of pale blue. and blush pink. The vendor team really outdid themselves with the styling and creativity of the shoot.
Ashley and Willy were the amazing models for the styled shoot. Ashley is also a wedding photographer, so she was willing to do any of the poses we asked for. It definitely helped that Ashley and Willy were a real married couple because they brought the energy and passion to the shoot.
Along with a beautiful ceremony set-up, Chestnut Ridge also has gorgeous 360 views of the mountains. We were able to cute couple pics during golden hour, and the light highlighted the majesty of the mountains. If you can have a wedding on a mountaintop, do it! You will not be disappointed by the background.
This styled shoot had not on a wedding dress, but a stunning one-of-a-kind reception dress that gave me Bridgerton vibes. It was perfect for the second set-up that included a velvet couch with pink pillows and mountain views in the background.
This styled shoot was everything I dreamed of and more. From the breathtaking views to the intricate details, everything was perfect. I also got to meet some awesome female photographers and felt very empowered in my photography.
