Welcome to part 2 of my blog on the workshop I participated in back in July. It was hosted by WPBWNC and it was great day of collaboration and fashion. I was honored to be included as a lead photographer and educator for the workshop. I hope you enjoy the photos.

Haley was a dynamic model, she had the perfect amount of attitude, sass, and charm. I actually met Haley in 2019 at FashMob. We only had a short chance to work together, so it was nice to get more time to get to know each other and grow together. I loved her retro glasses and her scarf added a pop of color to her monochromatic outfit.
Karise was such a sweet lady to work with. On top of her fierce outfit, she had amazing nails and stunning earrings. She also made every location pop with her infections energy and charm.
Sarah is another model I have worked with before. Funny enough, we were both models for a photoshoot for Roots Hummus. Sarah brings professionalism to every set she is on. Her short hair cut allowed the stylists to put shimmering spray in it that reflected in the light. I would have never thought about doing that.
Noel was such a dynamic model. On top of bringing her a-game, she also had a bright and positive energy. Noel was comfortable with whatever you asked her to do and it showed in the photos. She helped keep the group energized despite the warm weather.
I had such a fun time posing the models and choosing different combinations to show off the styling. I know talk about the outfits a lot, but the stylists involved in the workshop really did a great job. Fashion can invoke a certain vibe or period, and the retro, streetwear look perfectly matched the setting of the River Arts District.
The workshop was a time of women empowerment as well as empowering women of color. Black Lives Matter. We have to wall work together to check our biases and fight against racial discrimination. We are better when we’re together, not apart.
